Sister Donna Schmitt (2nd from right), a member of the CHM New Hope Community that resides in the River Bend neighborhood of Des Moines, Iowa, received a neighborhood grant that allowed her to work with children and adults from June through September cleaning up 6th Avenue.

Sr. Donna also offered scholarships for students to attend art classes. Over a dozen inner-city students took advantage of the opportunity.
