9:30am - 3:30pm   |   retreat

ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT (requires credit card)

Leader: Dale Kueter, Retired newspaperman and author of The Smell of the Soil

Writing can be therapeutic and a wonderful way to preserve memories and stories of family and faith. We will delve into your memories and talk about ways to creatively put them on paper as a way to gift them to your family. Come with memories and leave with treasured stories.  Fee: $20 register with link above or call 563-336-8414.

Dale Kueter, leader of this retreat says, "For me, writing is therapeutic. But I encourage everyone to write. It's the only way we can preserve family stories. Stories join the past with the future.

I worked 44 years at Iowa newspapers, the last 34 at The Gazette in Cedar Rapids. Since retirement in 1999, I have written several books, two non-fiction and the latest, "Motel Sepia," historical fiction.
