“Putting Food By” the Old-Fashioned Way

As summer tomatoes and green beans are most bountiful in gardens and farmers markets it is time to learn how to store them for the winter. Think of how the family will enjoy doing what grandma did. Come with your own garden or farmers market produce or help with “putting food by” for The Prairie. We will learn how to use the dreaded pressure cooker, make jam, jelly, spaghetti sauce and more depending on what the season offers. Includes lunch. Fee: $20
