1960s Sisters at Marycrest College take a break from their studies for a hootenanny. Your gift is a blessing.

All across the country, there are people whose lives have been touched by a Sister of Humility:
  • Remember your math teacher in seventh grade? Or the music teacher in high school?
  • How about the sister nurse at St. Joe’s Hospital who got you ice cream at midnight when you had your tonsils out and couldn’t sleep?
  • Or the sisters who came to your rural parish every summer bringing Bible stories and songs?
  • Perhaps you attended college at Marycrest or Ottumwa Heights where the world of knowledge finally came together and suddenly you knew that you wanted to devote your life to social work or teaching English or starting your own business.
Magnificat Society member Eleanor Anstey and Sr. Marilyn Schierbrock outside the Humility of Mary Center.Say “thank you” to those women today with a tax deductible contribution the Congregation of the Humility of Mary, a 501 (c)(3) corporation. Your financial support is a great blessing to us and your gift will ensure that the caring spirit of the community continues into the future. Here are some ways you can help:
  • Support our Ministry Fund which provides direct funding for innovative and diverse ministries that address unmet needs in our society.
  • Contribute to the Retirement Fund to ensure a nurturing environment for the retirement and health care needs of sisters who have given their time and lives to serve others.
  • Make year round spiritual renewal possible by earmarking your contribution for Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat.

Your contribution makes you a partner in the CHM mission to “be attentive to the call of the spirit in the signs of our times, especially the needs of the poor and the powerless.”
