Sister Maxine Connaway, CHM, died on March 5, 2015, at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center, Johnston, Iowa.
The final resting place will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
Memorials may be made to Humility of Mary Housing or Humility of Mary Shelter.
Sister Maxine requested that we only place a notice of death as opposed to a full obituary in the Quad City Times. She also suggested that the prayer for peace be the community prayer rather than the usual rosary and vigil service. Her cremated remains will be placed in the same cemetery where her brother was laid to rest. It has been a gift to talk to her friends in St. Louis, Ireland and around the area as well as with her three sons and their families. What comes out is the wonderful life of service of a very committed woman. Her Irish wit was used well throughout her life and even in her last illness. Let us hold her up in our thoughts and prayers.
