End Hunger Challenge 2021
Donate NOW to an organization that addresses hunger, food insecurity or food injustice. We can help! Donate through the Sisters of Humility and we will allocate funds to area foodbanks and meal sites where CHMs serve. Our neighbors are hurting! Let’s step up to help meet their need!
In celebration of Catholic Sisters Week, March 8-14, Sisters of the Humility of Mary have joined with other congregations across the country in a collaborative effort to serve persons in need and bring much needed awareness to the current increase in food insecurity and underlying causes, such as the Pandemic, poverty, unemployment, and inconsistent access to healthy food.
CHM sisters are rising to the challenge in their areas directing funds to local foodbanks and meal sites and volunteering. In addition to donating you might:
- Volunteer for a food bank or food pantry.
- Set up a Community Garden, Little Free Pantry, or other project serving persons who are food insecure.
- Contact your local, state and federal representatives and advocate for policies that will increase access to food, including expanding SNAP benefits, increasing the minimum wage, and funding food initiatives.
Thank you and God bless you.
