Free Online: Retail & Restaurant Workers Telling Their Story of Covid-19
Perhaps no group has been battered back and forth by the pandemic more than the people who work in and run the businesses we depend on. We depend on restaurants and retail shops and grocery stores for pleasure, for convenience, for survival. We count on a cheerful welcome, quality products and socialization, even if it's only in the checkout line. We, as consumers and customers, can choose to isolate ourselves, but the people who make our pleasure possible cannot isolate, even though they take means to protect themselves. We will listen to four people tell about their losses and disappointments as well as the silver linings they have discovered interacting with us, the public, as they try to conduct business as usual. We all need to hear their stories, if only as an act of appreciation for how much they have contributed to our lives.
This is a CHM Community Outreach Event with no fee. Please register at the link above and you will receive an email with a Zoom link to attend.
Dianne Prichard will facilitate a panel of three.
